CABERNETS AND OTHER ROCKIN' REDS

- A decadent and informative "Red Review" that calls the Wine Drinker and Wine Thinker in you! We’ll taste and discuss several great bottlings of the all-familiar Cabernet Sauvignon, then expand our horizons by tasting other great reds of the world. Cab may be your first love, but the joy of wine includes exploring all the delicious options out there! Sexy Syrah, Brooding Bordeaux, Poetic Pinot Noir, Tempting Tempranillo, and Brawny Brunello will all be explored. Traits of each grape, winemaking treatments, and appropriate food pairings will all be discussed. A bit of cheese and charcuterie will be sampled alongside, and special pricing will be offered on purchases of the featured wines.

A WINE TOUR OF SPAIN

We have been enthusiastically spreading the word for two years now: Spanish wines are great for their friendly flavors and tremendous value. This class might be called a feeble excuse to taste some of our newest finds, but we think you’ll learn a lot in the process. We will sip our way through the various places - Toro, Rioja, Calatayud, Ribera del Duero, and more - and sample some savory tidbits along the way. Did you know that we carry a wide selection of Spanish chorizo, Jamon Serrano, and other Spanish groceries? We're going to put them to good use! It's fun to sip Tempranillo and nibble on Tapas with friends, so we hope a big group of you amigos shows up!

RIEDEL TASTING SEMINAR

Walk in doubtful, leave as a believer: The glass really does make a difference and we’re going to prove it! This popular event features several fine wines being tasted from different Riedel glass shapes as well as a “joker” glass. You’ll soon realize that the Riedel people know what they’re doing – providing the perfect “sound system” to accurately convey the music of wine! Let’s put it another way: Your wine tastes better in a Riedel - period. Part of the class fee are the four Riedel glasses at your place - yours to take home for further “practice”. Special pricing will also be offered on purchases of more Riedel stemware and the featured wines. Let’s see if it’s really true!
